The Valley
Yosemite National Park
I photographed this view of Yosemite Valley on a gorgeous spring afternoon. With all the snow melting from a heavy winter, the waterfalls were flowing at their peak. The Merced River was so swollen it was about to overflow. Clouds were moving over the landscape very quickly causing the light to change at a moment's notice. I waited until the sun peeked through the clouds illuminating El Capitan and Bridalveil Falls and pressed the shutter. What a magnificent day!
