Lake Tahoe, California
A day after a big snowstorm my friend Sean and I headed up to a ridge on the north side of Emerald Bay. We had looked at this line, called Emerald Chute, for a few years. After several hours of climbing we reached the entrance of the chute. Once we were at the top, I hiked around the ridge for several minutes and found a vantage point I was happy with. Since it was just Sean and I we only had one take to get the shot right. I showed Sean where I thought he should lay into a big right hand turn. He executed perfectly and I knew we had just created a great iconic image of skiing in Lake Tahoe.
