What is an aluminum metal print?
All of Rachid’s work is printed exclusively on aluminum metal sheets with a High Gloss finish. Printing on aluminum represents a new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, the images take on a magical luminescence. The detail and resolution of each print is unsurpassed and final piece is absolutely breathtaking. Rachid believes this process is the ultimate compliment to his work.
What are the facts and benefits of aluminum prints?
Images printed on aluminum will last for generations when displayed indoors and out of direct sunlight. Like any fine art print, aluminum prints should not be exposed to direct sunlight or high outdoor temperatures. Aluminum prints have an additional benefit over gicleé or photographic processes in that they are waterproof and have an ultra-hard scratch resistant coating. All aluminum prints can simply be cleaned with any commercial glass cleaner.
Are aluminum prints signed by the artist?
All prints (Limited and Open Edition) are digitally signed and numbered, personally, by the artist. Because of the coating method used on aluminum prints a physical signature is not available on the actual print. However, the certificate of authenticity that accompanies each piece will have a physical signature from Rachid.
What are Open Edition vs Limited Edition prints?
Rachid’s work is broken into two tiers, Open Edition and Limited Edition.
As demand for Rachid’s work has increased he has been producing many images for limited edition release only. Currently all limited edition prints are printed in a series of 200. Once the series of 200 has been printed no more will ever be produced. This practice dramatically increases the value of each print over time. Each limited edition print comes with a certificate of authenticity containing the edition number and is personally signed by the artist.
Many prints are available as Open Editions. Open edition prints are printed with an unlimited reproduction number. This enables price conscience collectors to obtain Rachid’s work at a lower price point than limited edition prints. While not as valuable as limited edition prints, open edition prints will continue to increase in value over time and are an exceptional way to collect Rachid’s unbelievable imagery for your home or office.
How do I frame my aluminum print?
You don't. All prices represent finished pieces that come ready to hang. No additional framing, mounting or glass costs are required. Because there is no additional framing, the size you order is the final size of the piece. When you are measuring the space for which the print will reside you do not need to take into account any extra space for a mat or frame.
What is the Black Frame mounting option?
Black Metal Frame – A black metal frame is mounted flush with the finished print creating a sleek “metal canvas” effect. The result is elegant and sophisticated, perfect for classic and modern spaces alike. This is Rachid’s preferred display method.
What is the Float Mount mounting option?
Float Mount – Instead of a frame, a Float Mount Block is used behind the piece that floats the print ½ inch off of the wall. This minimal treatment creates an airy and clean look that compliments every space with a sense of class and style.
Is there a warranty on my purchase?
